Discover Your Inner Strength and Resilience
Compassionate, Trauma-Informed Care Grounded in Human Kindness.

Hello / Way’-Weytk
Welcome! Thank you for taking a moment to learn about me. My name is Michelle Duchesne. I am a woman of Métis descent. I am a mother, a grandmother, and a lover of nature and animals.
I hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work and I am registered with the BC College of Social Workers. I have twenty-five years of diverse clinical experience. My areas of expertise are mental health and substance use. I also have experience in the areas of corrections, child welfare, grief and loss, and end-of-life care.
I have supported individuals, couples, families, and groups. I have assisted individuals across the lifespan from youth to seniors and those at the end of life. I have also had the privilege to work with people from a range of cultural backgrounds and sexual orientations. I honor diversity and strive to create an inclusive and respectful environment.
How We Will Work Together
While stress, struggle, and conflict are natural parts of life, moving through these experiences can feel overwhelming. Seeking support is a courageous and meaningful step. The counselling journey is guided by you and tailored to meet your unique needs.
I draw upon a variety of clinical approaches in order to meet you exactly where you are. This may include a biopsychosocial assessment, which explores the biological, psychological and social aspects of your life, or it may involve a more solution-focused approach. You are also welcome to inquire about my interactive and action-based sessions.
Whatever your counselling needs, we will work together to build a personalized toolkit that supports effective coping while fostering meaning, growth, and joy. Therapy begins the moment you feel heard. I am here to listen. This is your journey!
